Exploring Weather in Prep 2025

Our Prep students enjoyed an exciting day of learning about the weather, hosted by our dedicated teachers and parent volunteers. Classrooms were transformed into dynamic weather environments simulating sunny, windy, rainy, stormy, and snowy conditions. As part of their Science Unit, this experience taught students about daily changes and helped them appreciate God’s creation.

Weather Day Fun

Here are some of the activities that made the day special:

  • Sun: Creating watercolour paintings of the sun and re-enacting a sunny day with ice blocks.
  • Wind: Story time and testing the wind with self-made windsocks.
  • Rain: Painting pictures of raindrops and learning about the water cycle.
  • Storm: Making a tornado in a bottle and experiencing a simulated power outage.
  • Snow: Making fake snow and enjoying hot chocolate to stay warm, followed by a newspaper snowball fight

The day was a wonderful blend of fun and education, leaving our students with lasting memories and a deeper understanding of the weather.
