2025 Commencement Service at 69³ÉÈ˵¼º½

Our entire College community united at the Commencement Service to inspire, pray, worship, and celebrate as we begin the school year.

Student Presidents shared insights on our College Character Values of Faith, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence. This year’s focus is Influence, and it’s inspiring to see our Student Presidents encouraging students to show respect for each other, look out for one another, and remember that even when challenges seem great, our actions can positively influence others.

Commencement Service

College Character Values

Faith in Jesus Christ

As a Christian school, our mission is to develop each student as a Christian disciple. Why? Because we, who are Christians, know that living a life of faith in Jesus Christ is the best way to live this one life we have been given. Only in Christianity are we called sons and daughters of Father God (Galatians 3:26).

Integrity – Doing the right thing

Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, and trustworthiness describe a person who lives with integrity. Relationships flourish when honesty guides good people in their choices. Galatians 6:9 encourages us to be honest and do the right thing which brings rewards if we don’t give up.

Respect for ourselves, others, and the environment

As the Bible tells us, each of us has been created by a loving God, in His image, so every person has value. Therefore, each of us is worthy of being treated with dignity and respect and ensuring we treat others the same way. Respect means to care for, appreciate, and honour. To love your neighbour as yourself.

Excellence by striving to do our personal best

We have all been created as unique individuals, and God has a marvellous plan and purpose for each of us. Our gifts, talents, and achievements will be different, but it is in our sustained effort that we show and grow our character. When we excel and do our best, we thank God because He made us, and the Holy Spirit helps us. We encourage our students to keep choosing to work hard, be proud of their efforts, and give their personal best.

ATAR Achievement Celebration

At the Commencement Service, we celebrated the academic excellence of the Class of 2024. We commended alumni who earned an ATAR of 90 or above and students who were awarded certificates of excellence from QCAA for perfect scores in a subject or all As in six subjects.

We congratulate all of our Year 12 students, their families and our incredible staff on their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to excellence.

  • Our top students Summer C & Chelsea F received an ATAR of 99.55.
  • 6 students received an ATAR of 99.00 or above.
  • 21.65% of students received an ATAR of 95.00 or above.
  • 40.21% of students received an ATAR of 90.00 or above.

Inspiration from Leaders

Pastor Chris Ensbey inspired students at the Commencement Service with the message that this year holds the opportunity for greatness. He encouraged us to lean on God when obstacles come, trust in Him, and include Him in our decisions, relationships, and plans for the future. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Our Principal and Heads of School encouraged students to walk in unity and look out for the interests of others, just as Jesus did.

As we began the school year, our community united in prayer with student leaders praying for students, parents, staff, and alumni. As a community, we are excited for the year ahead and we pray for a year of growth, unity, and positive influence!
